I went up onto the roof of my house because I wanted to check its condition before making repairs.
And then… I suddenly noticed something.
For a moment, I completely froze.
At first, I could not even tell what I was looking at. It did not resemble anything familiar — just a small, dark shape resting on the metal roofing sheets.

Honestly, it made me feel uneasy.
I stood there for nearly half an hour, looking at it from different angles and trying to understand what it could be, but the more I looked, the less sense it seemed to make.
From one angle, it looked almost like some kind of object. From another, it appeared strangely organic.
Its shape was twisted, almost as if it had curled up on itself. And the longer I stared, the more unsettling details I started to notice.
There were thin parts that looked almost like bones. A hollow section where something used to be. And something that looked far too much like a tiny skull.
That was when it really hit me.

This was not just some random piece of debris.
I looked around the rest of the roof, but there was nothing else like it. No signs, no clues — just this one strange, silent thing lying there by itself.
For a moment, my imagination started running wild. Did something die there? Was it dropped by a bird? How long had it been sitting there without anyone noticing?
I leaned in a little closer… very carefully.
And then the answer became clear.
It was actually the dried remains of a small animal — most likely a rat.
Nothing supernatural. Nothing mysterious.
Just nature doing what nature does.

Still, it is definitely not the kind of thing you expect to find when you are simply trying to fix your roof.
So, what would you have thought it was at first glance?
