Chris Pratt is once again facing intense criticism online following his recent Instagram tribute for Mother’s Day.
Detractors have been quick to condemn the actor for failing to acknowledge his ex-wife, Anna Faris—who is the mother of his eldest son, Jack—in his annual holiday post.
As social media timelines flooded with heartfelt messages honoring mothers and parenting partners on May 10, Pratt participated by sharing a sweet photo collage dedicated to his current spouse, Katherine Schwarzenegger. He accompanied the images with a glowing, affectionate caption: “You’re the heart of our world. We’re endlessly thankful—Happy Mother’s Day.”

However, the tribute did not sit well with everyone. Many critics slammed Pratt for completely sidelining Faris, arguing that the mother of his firstborn child absolutely warranted an acknowledgment on the special day.
“Wow, bet your firstborn’s thrilled his mom gets a shoutout—and by extension, him. Nope…,” one frustrated user sarcastically commented.
“Don’t forget your other kid,” another follower interjected, while a third person vented their disappointment: “Another woman bore your child—doesn’t she merit a nod today?”
A fourth critic expressed their anger bluntly: “What of your ex? Excluded again—how pathetic. I’ve written you off for good.”

This is certainly not a new controversy for the actor. Pratt has drawn similar fire in previous years, having notably omitted Faris from his Mother’s Day shoutouts in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
